ClingSpace Terms of Use
Effective: October 29, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your use of ClingSpace.
By installing, purchasing, activating, or using ClingSpace, you agree to these Terms.
For purposes of these Terms, “ClingSpace,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the publisher of the ClingSpace software.
License
ClingSpace is licensed, not sold.
A valid paid ClingSpace license grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use ClingSpace subject to these Terms.
Unless different terms are shown when you purchase it, one direct-purchase ClingSpace license may be activated on up to three PCs used by the license holder.
You may release an activation from a PC and activate another PC, subject to the licensing system's limits.
Trial
ClingSpace includes a 5-day fully unlocked trial.
The trial is provided so you can evaluate the application before purchasing it.
When the trial expires, access to the main workspace may be restricted until a valid license is activated.
Your local ClingSpace project data is not intentionally deleted simply because the trial expires.
One-time purchase
ClingSpace's standard direct license is currently offered as a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
A one-time license grants continued use of the version of ClingSpace made available under that license, subject to these Terms.
Future products, major versions, optional services, or separately offered upgrades are not necessarily included unless expressly stated.
Purchases
Direct purchases may be processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record.
Payment processing, taxes, receipts, chargebacks, and certain transaction matters may therefore also be governed by Lemon Squeezy's applicable buyer terms.
Purchases through the Microsoft Store are also subject to Microsoft's applicable Store terms and policies.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under applicable law.
Refunds
Refund requests are handled according to the terms applicable to the purchase channel and any rights provided by applicable law.
For purchases made through Lemon Squeezy or the Microsoft Store, transaction and refund processing may be handled through that provider.
Your files and data
ClingSpace is designed to reference and organize resources that remain in their existing locations.
Adding a file or folder to a Space does not transfer ownership of that file or folder to ClingSpace.
You remain responsible for your files, folders, and backups.
Removing a file or folder from a ClingSpace Space is not intended to delete the original file or folder.
ClingSpace includes local backup functionality for its own application data, but it is not a backup service for your original files.
You should maintain appropriate independent backups of important files.
File tracking and recovery
ClingSpace includes functionality intended to help maintain references when supported files or folders are renamed, moved, disconnected, or temporarily unavailable.
No file-tracking or recovery system can guarantee that every resource can always be located or recovered.
You remain responsible for knowing where important files are stored and for maintaining appropriate backups.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- redistribute or resell ClingSpace licenses without permission
- share license keys beyond the permitted licensed use
- attempt to defeat or circumvent activation or licensing restrictions
- use ClingSpace in violation of applicable law
- represent yourself as the publisher or owner of ClingSpace
- redistribute modified copies of ClingSpace as though they were official releases
Nothing in this section is intended to restrict rights that applicable law expressly gives you and that cannot legally be waived.
Third-party services
Some ClingSpace functionality may rely on third-party services for payment, licensing, distribution, website hosting, or related infrastructure.
These services may have their own terms and may change or experience outages independently of ClingSpace.
ClingSpace is not responsible for third-party services outside its reasonable control.
Availability and updates
ClingSpace may receive bug fixes, compatibility changes, security updates, and feature updates.
Features may change over time as the product develops.
Reasonable efforts are made to keep ClingSpace functional, but uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every Windows configuration, storage device, file system, or third-party application is not guaranteed.
No warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ClingSpace is provided “as is” and “as available.”
No guarantee is made that the application will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for every particular purpose.
Nothing in this section excludes warranties or consumer protections that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher of ClingSpace will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from the use of or inability to use ClingSpace.
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of important files and information.
Any liability that cannot legally be excluded remains subject to applicable law.
Termination
Your right to use ClingSpace may be terminated if you materially violate these Terms, including by abusing or circumventing the licensing system.
Termination does not grant ClingSpace ownership of your files or project data.
Privacy
Use of ClingSpace is also subject to the ClingSpace Privacy Policy:

Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated when the product, licensing model, or legal requirements change.
The current version will be maintained at:
